Shelf Reflection’s Disney Animated Movies Reading Challenge
Disney Animated Movies Reading Challenge
By: Shelf Reflection
Where are all my Disney fans at?
ONCE UPON A TIME… I felt inspired to create a fun reading challenge based around animated Disney movies! It’s a versatile list that can be used in lots of different ways. Especially if you want an excuse to rewatch some classics!
The idea is to pick one prompt related to each movie. I’ve given two ‘normal’ options and one ‘advanced’ option. You can do all three if you are up for the challenge or you could even make this challenge last three years by choosing one prompt per year.
This list could be fun to use in a book club capacity where you watch the movie together and read a book based on the prompt and see if you can make any comparisons (some prompts will make more sense than others to do this with).
Also, I am aware that Mary Poppins is not animated. I added it in for no apparent reason but I’m also not going to remove it sooo….
This year’s challenge has 55 prompts.
I’ve ordered the movies chronologically.
I will fill in ideas on the Storygraph version of this challenge, but I don’t have the capacity to complete this challenge myself this year so this page will just list the prompts (unlike my other challenges I’ve done.)
Feel free to share your ideas for the different prompts in the comments. If you get stuck on a prompt you can message me for some suggestions as well.
How to Track:
Below you’ll find links to a printable prompt list and a tracker if you prefer paper copies.
I’ve added it to Storygraph where you can add books to each prompt and as you mark the books as finished, your reading challenge goal will update. The cool feature about this Storygraph option is that you can see what books others have added for each prompt that may give you some reading ideas.
Here is a Canva Template for tracking progress.
Feel free to share this challenge with your friends and do it together!
Also, check out my reading challenges from previous years if you’re looking for something else!
… AND THEY ALL READ HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
